With Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake, the International Festival Ballet brings one of the great masterpieces of classical ballet to the stage of the Théâtre de Beaulieu. The international ensemble unites dancers from countries including Ukraine, Italy, France, Spain and Japan, all trained in the renowned tradition of the Russian school of ballet. Their interpretation of the famous choreography by Marius Petipa and Lev Ivanov combines technical precision, elegance and expressive power. The performance is accompanied live by the Festival Orchestra, featuring around 35 musicians under the direction of Normunds Vaicis.
