Association for the Promotion and Vitality of Beaulieu Theatre

The Association pour la culture et le rayonnement du théâtre de Beaulieu exists to develop the theatre. Its remit is to support cultural activities, shows and events and to make them accessible to everyone, in order to promote the theatre and its programmes. It undertakes practical measures for modernising the facilities, so improving the experience and audience comfort.

Created in March 2019, it brings together the institutional producers of the Beaulieu Theatre presented below:

Prix de Lausanne


Throughout the year, the Prix de Lausanne supports the development of future dance talents through a wide range of activities, culminating in the world’s most prestigious international ballet competition.

Established in 1973, the competition is open to pre-professional dancers aged between 15 and 18. Since its first edition, the Prix de Lausanne has established itself as an unmissable annual event on the international dance scene.

Association La Paternelle


Since 1886 La Paternelle has been giving orphans the chance to celebrate Christmas. Each year, in December, the theatre company of La Paternelle presents a major children’s show. Supervised and supported by professionals, more than 200 young persons take an active part in creating a theatrical production, culminating in unforgettable performances, which bring down the curtain on this artistic adventure.

Béjart Ballet Lausanne


Since its founding in 1987, the Béjart Ballet Lausanne has established itself as an international leader in the world of dance. Carrying on the innovative spirit of Maurice Béjart, the BBL continues its legacy today under the artistic direction of Julien Favreau.

Orchestre de la Suisse Romande


A key cultural institution in French-speaking Switzerland, the OSR is the region’s leading symphony orchestra and the resident orchestra of the Grand Théâtre de Genève. With a roster of 112 musicians, the OSR is now ranked among the world’s leading orchestras. Founded in 1918 by Ernest Ansermet, the OSR is renowned both in French-speaking Switzerland and internationally. It upholds its values of openness, sharing, and creativity. The OSR also fulfills its missions of cultural outreach, education, and the promotion of its heritage through numerous initiatives within the city.

Lausanne Tourisme


Lausanne Tourisme, an economic association founded in 1887, has some 600 members. Its purpose is to promote Lausanne on the economic, cultural and social level, both in Switzerland and abroad, with a view to sustainable development. With an emphasis on the cultural heritage, it provides support for tourist events, in particular as a member of the Association pour le rayonnement du theatre de Beaulieu, which promotes and supports the theatre.
