Located in the heart of Lausanne, the Théâtre de Beaulieu is much more than a stage: it’s a meeting place dedicated to the performing arts. With its 1,600 seats, state-of-the-art stage technology, four-level foyers, bars, restaurant and majestic art deco chandelier, it is one of the most emblematic venues in the Canton of Vaud and Switzerland.
Completely renovated between 2019 and 2022, this heritage building has preserved its soul while modernizing to meet the expectations of increasingly curious and demanding audiences and artists. Admirably warm and harmonious, its exceptional architecture and new acoustics bring the stage and auditorium closer together, enhancing the intensity and quality of the experience.
In its new setting, the Théâtre de Beaulieu hosts a wide range of national and international productions: dance, comedy, musicals, concerts and conferences.
A veritable cultural pillar of the Olympic capital, the Théâtre Beaulieu is distinguished by such not-to-be-missed events as performances by the Béjart Ballet Lausanne, the prestigious Prix de Lausanne international dance competition, the Lausanne seasons of the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and the Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne, and the children’s show La Paternelle.
