The Pink Martini adventure began in 1994, in Oregon. Originally centered around Thomas M. Lauderdale and singer China Forbes, the group with multiple inspirations and collaborations sings in English, French, but also Spanish, Italian, Japanese, Croatian... Endless influences that make Pink Martini a unique collective.

In 1997, Pink Martini released its flagship album "Sympathique", which sold over 650,000 copies worldwide. It includes the hit Je ne veux pas travailler, the soundtrack to the Citroën Picasso advert, which played a fundamental role in the group's European reputation. This emblematic song is even crowned "Song of the Year" at the Victoires de la Musique in France in 2000.

Soon, this "little orchestra" was touring the world with a dozen or more musicians, singing their culturally inclusive music in more than 20 languages, performing in legendary venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Royal Albert Hall, the Sydney Opera House and the Hollywood Bowl. In 2023, the Swiss public will be able to (re)discover them on the magnificent stage of the Théâtre de Beaulieu!
